Derivatives are innovative investment vehicles that derive their values from the performance of the underlying assets. Derivatives analysis therefore involves complex review of both underlying instruments as well as the derivatives themselves.
This study seeks to equip the candidates with the competencies in pricing, hedging and trading strategies of
various types of derivative instruments in the global financial market.
INCLUDED IN THE COURSE
These materials include item-by-item notes as outlined in the revised Kasneb CIFA syllabus as well as focused questions from previous examinations by the board. In addition, our platform offers a forum for learners to discuss issues related to a certain subject.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
A candidate must be able to explain and illustrate main course concepts that relate Derivatives Analysis, such as:
- Explain the types of derivatives instruments and markets
- Value and price the basic types of derivatives instruments
- Explain the Greek letters and apply them in hedging strategies
- Apply various hedging strategies of the different derivatives
- Discuss the various lessons on derivatives mishaps.
